Support The Farms
Spring has Sprung here at the Grand Lake Farmers Market. Asparagus Season is in full Swing and we are now getting a number of farmers with orgainc and conventional strawberries. The market is still loaded with a great selection fall produce; citrus, sweet potatoes, kales, chards, collards, and lettuce to name a few. More of Springs bounty is yet to come, we will have Cherries the first week of May, Blueberries , raspberries and apricots will soon follow. The Grand lake Farmers Market has over a dozen different organic farms to choose from, as well as organic grass-fed beef, and eggs. So come down and shop locally at the Grand Lake Farmers Market then head down to the Grand Ave and Lakeshore avenue shopping districts for the rest of your weekly shopping needs.
Your lunch time destination
The Market's Food Court now features a French artisan charcuterie, Fabrique Delices, as well as French chef Guy Birenbaum's La Fleur de Lyon. Guy specializes in vegetable brioches and gourmet chicken pies. We have Joseph and Martha Vargas with their own special Greek recipe for Giros and Falafel. Local Chef Tammera Dyson of Souley Vegan is a one of a kind culinary experiance. We have just added Cafe Gratitude with organic raw food to round off an amazing food court that includes vegan tamales, completely organic Thai food, and fish tacos!! The Grand Lake Market has a wide selection of tastes for the diverse East Bay community we serve every Saturday.
